PROPOSED PLAN OF ACTIVITIES

All Pakistan Particleboards Manufacturers Association is a Trade Body of Particleboard (Chipboard) manufacturers in Pakistan. The Association has been granted License by the Ministry of Commerce under the Trade Organization Act and Rules, 2013. It is registered with the S.E.C.P. and also affiliated with (FPCCI- Karachi) as per T.O. Rules-2013.

SHORT TERM PLAN
The Association has following short term activities plan:

1. The main and foremost object of the Association is to increase the number of members to obey the T.O Rules, in order to increase the number of members, efforts are at large to encourage those chipboard manufacturers who have not yet attained the membership of the association as yet. The management of the association desire to accomplish this task by personally meeting the manufacturers of chipboard and allied products as well as through advertisement in the newspapers so as to increase the number of members to the maximum.

2. As the chipboard is widely used in the manufacture of furniture, and household items like kitchen cupboard, Almira’s etc. and being cheaper than wood, the association aims to create more awareness among the people about its usage and other allied products.

LONG TERM PLAN

1. Establishment of Regional Offices
   The Association at present is having its head office in Lahore which represents its members from southern and Northern Zones. The Association aims to establish its Regional Offices after achieving the required membership threshold in the four provinces and federal capital of the country. This step will also help to increase the membership as well as financial resources and a close liaison of the Association with its members.

2. Introduction of Safety Measures
   The Association intends to hold workshops at the industrial sites by demonstrating practical training regarding safety measures for the workers so as to minimize the risks. The Association will also keep on informing the members through its website and other channels to minimize such risks and introduce adequate safety measures for the benefits of the workers of the Members.

3. Research and Development
   The process of Research and development is pre-requisite for Industrial growth and improvement of quality of goods to compete in the local markets as well as with the foreign markets. Keeping this factor in mind, Association intends to introduce such methods and techniques to its Members through conducting meetings/seminars.

4. Website
   As per TO Rule, 2013 the Association had developed its Website and manage its maintenance and updating on regular basis with a view to inform all its members any relevant information, legislation which is promulgated by the Government time to time.
   Besides, list of present office bearers with contact details, names of Executive body members and members of the general body and election schedule and plan of activities is also given.

5. GENERAL
   The Association has legal consultant and Firm of Chartered Accountants for knowing the day to day development in Income Tax laws and closely monitor the amendments in Laws relating to Particleboard Industry, its Marketing and Trade. It is vigilant on the Trade policies of the Government and intervene through proper course of action in case harmful laws are made for the smooth running of the industries.
